McAffee antivirus products may cause installation or execution of the software to lock up.
Some versions of McAffee virus protection software aggressively and proactively scan for macro viruses in products that support Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, including Word, Excel and Access.
 

However, in Virusscan version 3.20 for Win95, the virus scanner has difficulty scanning the large database files. In this case there are three possible solutions.
 

Upgrade to a later version of VirusScan
Disable virus scanning for Microsoft Access databases (*.MDB).
Disable virus scanning completely (not recommended).
