Questions about moving to Pendragon Forms VI

Will my existing form designs work on HTML5 devices?

We anticipate that 90% of existing form designs will run without modification in Forms VI, except where platform specific features are used.

Questions about Synchronization:

Can I synchronize both HTML5 devices (iPhone and Android) and Palm OS devices and Pocket PC devices to the same database?

Pendragon Forms VI installs in parallel with Pendragon Forms 5.1. Their user lists and groups are independent. By default, they each have separate databases.

However, if you need both versions to synchronize to the same tables, you can use the Pendragon Forms Field Mapping feature to achieve this configuration.

Can I synchronize wirelessly?

Yes. In fact, you can only synchronize Android and iOS devices wirelessly. You will need to be able to connect your devices to your PC over WiFi or 3G/4G.

Can I synchronize over USB?

Generally, No. iOS and Android devices do not allow you to create TCP/IP network connections to a PC or laptop via a USB cable. You must use WiFi instead.
