Pendragon Forms VI - Staging Server Database Management

Pendragon Forms VI creates a Staging Server that is used to serves up pages to mobile devices. This server consists of a web server and a MySQL database server.

Whether you use the servers we provide or host your Staging Server at an ISP, you may need to manage your Staging Server database from time to time. Typically, this is done using a web-based application called phpMyAdmin.

To open phpMyAdmin for a local server, you can use the Staging Server Data shortcut on the Start menu. This will take you to the local installation of phpMyAdmin:

phpMyAdmin

On the left you'll see a list of MySQL databases.

NOTE: Do not delete or alter any of these databases unless you are an expert. If you do, you could render your database system non-functional and have to reinstall.

To view the Pendragon Forms VI database, click on the formsvi link at the top left. This will show you a list of tables in our database.

You'll see tables corresponding to your distributed forms. For example, table form_id_475588450 is the data table where data for form ID 475588450 is stored.

Let's suppose we want to look at the list of Pendragon Forms VI users.

Of course, whenever possible, you should use the Pendragon Tranfer Agent to do this!

To do this, scroll down to the user_list table and click the browse button. This will show you the rows in the user_list table:

And we can edit a row by clicking the pen next to the row of interest. This brings up a data editor:

And after we change the values in the table, we can click GO to save them.
