Pendragon Forms Distribution Toolbox

Add photos to your Pendragon Forms records.  Images that have been imported into form records from are synchronized to the Pendragon Forms database with other forms data. 

Importing Photos Captured with Your Camera from a Media Card or Pocket PC File

Pendragon Forms can be used with handheld cameras that store photos to a media card or to a Pocket PC file.  Images are imported from the card or Pocket PC device and attached to the Pendragon Forms record.  Attached images can be viewed on the handheld and will be synchronized to your database.

Capturing Photos Directly with Pendragon Forms

On Palm-branded devices and Windows Mobile 5.0 devices, Pendragon Forms supports built-in cameras.  Users can seamlessly capture images and attach them to records.

Attached images can be viewed on the handheld and will be synchronized to your database. 

Pendragon Forms support for photo capture makes it easy to document your data collection.  Pendragon Software has created custom interfaces for cameras built into Palm Zire 71 and Zire 72 and Sony Clie TH, UX and NX handhelds.  These controls let the user capture pictures without changing applications. 

When the Custom Control field in your form is visible on the handheld screen and the camera is activated, the control acts as a viewfinder for the camera. 

When the camera shutter button is pressed, a 640x480 pixel jpeg image is created and stored on the storage card. Depending on the PDA that you are using, other image sizes may be available.  Zire 72 users can capture and store images at the maximum resolution of 1280 x 960 pixels. Sony Clie users may choose a 320 x 240 pixel photo size. 

Custom controls for the cameras are included with Pendragon Forms 5.0 and Pendragon Forms 4.0 Service Pack 4, but require separate installation.
