Microsoft Access 2007 Compatibility

Pendragon Forms 5.1 is compatible with Microsoft Access 2007.

When you launch Pendragon Forms Manager in Access 2007, you will most likely be prompted to enable active content:

If you do not enable active content, you will see the splash screen, but the program will not run.

Click the Options button to change your security settings for the Pendragon Forms Manager.

You will see the following dialog box:

Click Enable this content, then click OK.  Pendragon Forms Manager will then run.

Converting Your Forms Manager

There is no need to convert the Pendragon Forms Manager to the new Access 2007 (.accdb) format.  We recommend you leave the database in the Access 2002/2003 (.mdb) file format.

Synchronizing with External Access 2007 Databases

If you use the Pendragon Forms Field Mapping feature to synchronize Pendragon Forms with an Access 2007 database, you must have install Access 2007 on your PC.  If you installed in a Network Server configuration, Access 2007 should be installed on your server.

If you receive the error message "Unrecognized Database Format", then you may need to change the OLEDB Provider setting in the Pendragon Forms Configuration Tool.  To do this, go to the Start menu and choose Programs - Pendragon Forms 5.1 - Configuration Tool.  Click on the Configuration tab.  Change the OLEDB Provider from Default Microsoft Access (Jet 4.0) to Access 2007 (ACE).  Then click the Exit button.
