GoIntegration Inc.,
a Miami systems integrator was selected to create a solution that would
provide a mobile order entry and sales infrastructure that was
integrated with the existing back-end system. This solution required
three components:
1. A
handheld sales application that was developed using Pendragon Forms
2. Remote
TCP/IP data synchronization to a centralized database using Pendragon
SyncServer software and cellular phone service
3. A
custom middleware application that would connect the sales database to
the company ERP system
A suite of handheld
forms was developed using Pendragon Forms and named HandApps Field
Sales. Field representatives use this
software to generate quotes, orders and invoices on their handhelds.
Data is synchronized daily via cellular modem. At headquarters, the
sales data is seamlessly shared between the forms database and
the accounting system via the custom middleware application.
